An Intimate Heaton House Farm Wedding – Alice & Jake

Alice and Jake’s intimate Heaton House Farm wedding was the kind of celebration that unfolded with a gentle, effortless warmth. Their ceremony took place indoors, where soft light and bright sunflower details filled the space with colour and personality. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the day had a beautifully relaxed feel — no rush, no fuss, just two people enjoying every moment together. From the quiet anticipation of the morning to the laughter that carried through the reception, their wedding was simple, heartfelt, and full of the small, meaningful moments that make a day truly special. Here are a few favourites.

A Calm and Joyful Morning in the Pamper Room

Alice began her morning in Heaton House Farm’s dedicated Bridal Pamper Room — a purpose‑built space designed for a relaxed, luxurious start to the day, complete with full‑length mirrors, hair and makeup stations and even a Prosecco fridge. It set the tone perfectly: calm, unhurried, and full of excitement shared with her closest people. Sunflower details appeared early, adding a bright, joyful thread that carried right through the celebration.

A Heartfelt Indoor Ceremony Filled With Sunflowers

Their ceremony took place indoors beneath soft draping and warm, natural light — one of the venue’s five ceremony options. The atmosphere was intimate and heartfelt, with every expression and glance between Alice and Jake feeling close and meaningful. The rustic beams and sandstone textures added that signature Heaton House Farm charm, creating a beautiful backdrop for their vows.

Relaxed Portraits Around the Grounds

After the ceremony, we wandered through the grounds for portraits. Heaton House Farm’s outdoor spaces are a dream for relaxed photography — from the iconic Sycamore Tree to the sweeping countryside views. The private water gardens, with their koi pond and waterfalls, offered a quiet moment away from the celebrations and a stunning setting for natural, documentary‑style portraits.

Laughter, Magic and Sunflower‑Bright Details

The reception was full of personality. Guests enjoyed close‑up magic at the tables, bursts of laughter during speeches, and sunflower touches that tied the whole day together. The dining barn — custom‑sized to suit their intimate guest list — created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed wedding breakfast.

Crazy Golf, Speeches and a Room Full of Joy

As the afternoon rolled into evening, crazy indoor golf kept guests entertained, while speeches brought a mix of heartfelt moments and proper belly laughs. The flow of the day felt seamless — one of the things Heaton House Farm is known for, with its all‑in‑one layout that moves effortlessly from ceremony to reception to evening party.

A Dance Floor That Never Slowed Down

When the lights dropped and the band struck up, the Wedding Barn transformed into a full party space. Colourful lighting, live music and a crowd who were fully ready to celebrate meant the dance floor never slowed down. It was the perfect ending to a day built on warmth, connection and the small, meaningful moments that made Alice and Jake’s wedding feel entirely their own.

If Heaton House Farm is your venue and you’re looking for photography that reflects the atmosphere of the place — the light, the landscape, the movement of the day — I’d love to be part of it. I focus on honest storytelling and natural images that feel like your wedding, not a performance.
