HOLDSWORTH HOUSE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Steph and Sam’s October wedding at Holdsworth House was one of those days that felt effortlessly warm from start to finish. The historic Jacobean manor, with its ivy‑covered stone walls and beautifully kept gardens, was the perfect backdrop for a relaxed celebration. Even in autumn, the grounds still held onto their colour, and the soft seasonal light gave everything a calm, intimate feel — ideal for natural wedding photography.

The morning began inside the cosy rooms of the house, where Steph got ready surrounded by her closest people. Holdsworth House has a way of making mornings feel unhurried, with its characterful interiors and gentle atmosphere. There was a lovely mix of excitement and calm, and the kind of small, genuine moments that make photographing weddings here such a pleasure.

Their ceremony had a warm, personal feel, with the manor’s historic charm adding just the right amount of character without ever feeling formal. Afterwards, guests spilled out into the gardens, enjoying the crisp October air and the last of the autumn colour. The grounds at Holdsworth House are one of the reasons couples love this venue — the hedges, stone pathways and tucked‑away corners all lend themselves beautifully to relaxed, candid photography.

As the afternoon light softened, we were treated to a stunning golden hour. Steph and Sam took a quiet wander through the gardens, and the low autumn sun wrapped everything in a warm glow. It was one of those perfect October moments — gentle, flattering light, a bit of chill in the air, and a couple completely at ease with one another. Those portraits were some of the highlights of the day.

The celebrations continued back inside, where the cosy interiors and friendly atmosphere made the evening feel relaxed and full of laughter. It was the kind of wedding that suited Holdsworth House perfectly: intimate, warm and full of natural moments from beginning to end.
