30 JAMES STREET HOTEL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
I have had the pleasure of photographing several 30 James Street Hotel weddings and have loved every single one!
Once the home of the Titanic’s white star office, this city centre boutique town house hotel is the perfect venue to host your special day.
Earlier this year I was over at this stunning venue for Katrina and Sean’s big day. Being Manchester based myself, it really isn’t far for me to jump in the car and take the motorway over to the roads of Liverpool city centre, and so I met up with the bridal party first thing in the morning as they were getting ready for their special day ahead!
I absolutely love this wedding venue. From the moment you enter into the lobby and meet the hotelier at reception, you can see how the venue has been styled to keep murals and curios set from the Titanic period to keep you engaged. Every room and residence has been terrifically styled in golden palatial grandeur which really shines throughout the hotel.
Luxury townhouse boutique wedding venue
Not long into the day and the bridesmaids were all dressed in their wedding gowns helping Katrina into her dress. Champagne and packets of confetti were all set on the table top as Katrina gleamed in the grand mirror which adorned one of the golden walls at 30 James Street Hotel. We were then whisked downstairs into the beautiful ceremony room which simply radiates opulence and splendour. The ceremony room is sumptuously styled in keeping with the hotel theming, but is also very open which allows for natural light to perfectly illuminate newlywed couples for some perfect photographs. Katrina being walked down the aisle by her father while Sean looked on was a particular highlight from the day.
Once nuptials come to a close and the newly married couple are announced to the wedding party, then we headed straight outside onto the street pavement for some quick group photographs of bridal party and guests. 30 James Street Hotel is ideal placed just across the road from Albert Docks. A quick stroll down the sidewalk and over the roadway allowed me to capture some perfect natural portraits of the newlyweds without them even noticing me!
The day was action packed from start to finish with amazing entertainment provided by the Silver Service Singing Waiters who surprised guests at the end of their wedding breakfast meal with some up-tempo songs to get everybody singing and dancing!
I had a great time photographing Katrina and Sean’s 30 James Street Wedding. If you are getting married and would like to chat about wedding photography, please feel free to drop me a message.

30 James Street Hotel - A classy and cool boutique wedding venue
As Liverpool city centre wedding venues go, 30 James Street Hotel must be up there as one of the best. On a site who’s style is modelled around being regarded as the home of the Titanic, this boutique hotel uses this to provide a stylish and very chic experience to all of its guests and visitors. The hotel has been very elegantly styled in a way that it perfectly balances its beautiful period features with contemporary designer details.
Located in the heart of Liverpool, the hotel can be conveniently found in the middle of the city’s best restaurants and bars. The hotel is only over the road from Albert Docks and a selection of incredible eateries and bars at your disposal. 30 James Street is also only a stones throw away from major transport links, with easy access links to Liverpool Lime Street and beyond.
With regards to rooms the hotel also offers great flexibility for your day. You can say your wedding vows in resplendent ceremony room before celebrating out on rooftop terrace which offers exclusive views of Liverpool’s elegant skyline with your friends and family. You can then nip down to the hotel’s signature reception bar for further drinks. Confetti is great for being thrown outside and there’s considerable space for this just outside the hotel lobby. The ceremony room can then be turned over for a majestic reception room to greet your guests, the perfect setting for your wedding meal and then dance floor partying!
This is a gorgeous contemporary wedding venue which simply can not be missed! a perfectly chic and sophisticated city centre wedding venue for a glamorous boutique wedding.
