30 JAMES STREET HOTEL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

I have had the pleasure of photographing several 30 James Street Hotel weddings and have loved every single one! I always love coming back to Liverpool (a place I once lived as a student for five years - // I loved living off Smithdown Road!) and hold a large part of the city and its heritage near me to this day.

Once the home of the Titanic’s white star office, this city centre boutique town house hotel is the perfect venue to host your special day.
Earlier this year I was over at this stunning venue for Katrina and Sean’s big day. Being Manchester based myself, it really isn’t far for me to jump in the car and take the motorway over to the roads of Liverpool city centre, and so I met up with the bridal party first thing in the morning as they were getting ready for their special day ahead!
I absolutely love this wedding venue. From the moment you enter into the lobby and meet the hotelier at reception, you can see how the venue has been styled to keep murals and curios set from the Titanic period to keep you engaged. Every room and residence has been terrifically styled in golden palatial grandeur which really shines throughout the hotel.

Luxury townhouse boutique wedding venue

Not long into the day and the bridesmaids were all dressed in their wedding gowns helping Katrina into her dress. Champagne and packets of confetti were all set on the table top as Katrina gleamed in the grand mirror which adorned one of the golden walls at 30 James Street Hotel. We were then whisked downstairs into the beautiful ceremony room which simply radiates opulence and splendour. The ceremony room is sumptuously styled in keeping with the hotel theming, but is also very open which allows for natural light to perfectly illuminate newlywed couples for some perfect photographs. Katrina being walked down the aisle by her father while Sean looked on was a particular highlight from the day.

Once nuptials come to a close and the newly married couple are announced to the wedding party, then we headed straight outside onto the street pavement for some quick group photographs of bridal party and guests. 30 James Street Hotel is ideal placed just across the road from Albert Docks. A quick stroll down the sidewalk and over the roadway allowed me to capture some perfect natural portraits of the newlyweds without them even noticing me!

The day was action packed from start to finish with amazing entertainment provided by the Silver Service Singing Waiters who surprised guests at the end of their wedding breakfast meal with some up-tempo songs to get everybody singing and dancing!

I had a great time photographing Katrina and Sean’s 30 James Street Wedding. If you are getting married and would like to chat about wedding photography, please feel free to drop me a message.
