Catherine and Tom’s pre‑wedding shoot at Formby Beach had that perfect mix of woodland calm and wide‑open coastal space. We started beneath the trees, following the winding paths and boardwalks before the dunes opened out into soft sand and huge skies. With the wind coming in off the sea and the light shifting across the water, the whole session had a relaxed, easy rhythm — the kind where they could simply walk, talk and settle into being photographed without any pressure. Those quiet moments on the dunes, the laughter under the umbrella and the stillness on the wet sand all gave a real sense of who they are together.

That ease carried beautifully into their Owen House Wedding Barn wedding. Having already spent time in front of the camera in such a natural setting, they arrived on the wedding day relaxed, confident and fully themselves — exactly what Owen House brings out so well. The barn’s warm textures, atmospheric ceremony space and characterful farmyard backdrops paired perfectly with the connection they’d already built during their Formby session. The pre‑wedding shoot became the ideal prologue: a calm, windswept chapter before the emotion, energy and celebration of their Owen House wedding.
