Having served as a Service Lead for over 12 months and as Stock Take Co-ordinator for the Electronics department for two years, I have been operating at a level that closely mirrors the Team Leader role. At the heart of everything I do is a genuine commitment to putting the customer first, and I believe that is what this role is fundamentally about.

As Service Lead I have consistently worked to ensure every customer feels acknowledged, valued and served without unnecessary delays or bottlenecks. I understand that a great shopping experience depends on the right Partners being in the right place at the right time, and I have developed a strong instinct for reading the floor, deploying resource proactively and removing barriers to service before they become problems. I approach every customer interaction with empathy and take real pride in turning difficult situations into positive outcomes through calm, independent judgement β€” rarely needing to escalate because I have the confidence to resolve issues on the spot.

I also have hands-on experience closing the basement shop floor, handling late customer issues, checking day alarms, floor walking and communicating across floors for a complete store lock up. As part of this I co-ordinate end of day recovery, ensuring Partners are clear on their tasks and the store is fully prepared for the next trading day.

My two years co-ordinating the Electronics stock take have sharpened my planning, communication and team coordination skills, leading 10 to 15 pre-trade Partners alongside a Team Manager to deliver seamlessly. I am experienced with Zebra scanners, ICE, track the gap for stock replenishment, and keep consistently up to date with Workforce Management task lists and daily comms β€” because operational readiness directly enables a smooth, frustration-free customer experience.
