Rookery Hall Wedding Photography
I was over at the beautiful Rookery Hall in September for Kayleigh and Adam's wedding which was a beauty of a day. It was interesting to shoot at Rookery Hall, namely because the name always intrigued me about the hall. The dictionaries will tell you that a rookery is a birthplace or breeding ground, however this luxury wedding venue with its fine architecture and a loving family home to generations of Cheshire families far surpasses the impressions of a avian hatchery.
I met Kayleigh in the morning with her bridal party all getting prepared with champagne and chocolates provided by the wedding venue. The bridesmaids must have spent more time up dancing to Beatles music in the morning than actually getting ready which is always a good sign for the dance floor antics later on!
It was a lovely autumn day for the wedding with the trees beginning to turn to the browns and golden; colours us wedding photographers live for. Rookery Hall is a beautiful wedding venue. The old part of the building makes for an idyllic backdrop for reception drinks.
The ceremony itself was intimate and quite emotional as Kayleigh walked down the aisle, linking arms with her dad, to make her way to her groom Adam. It all seemed a bit of a blur with rings being exchanged, wedding vows being spoken and the first kiss all taking place in quick succession. Before you knew it we were all lined up outside for some confetti throwing before a couple of group shots, lovely daylight portraits and straight in to the wedding breakfast.
I really enjoyed documenting Kayleigh and Adam's Rookery Hall wedding and can not wait to photograph my next wedding here at this stunning wedding venue.
