Delamere Forest Wedding Photography | Elizabeth and David

Marquee Wedding Photography

Elizabeth and David held an amazing outdoor marquee wedding in Cheshire and I was thrilled to photograph it for the two of them! Liz's family were from Hartford in Cheshire and so the day consisted of having a lovely intimate church wedding in St. Peters Church before heading over for a marquee wedding reception on a sports field by Delamere Forest.
It was great to meet up with Liz in the morning and catch up again since our pre-wedding shoot in the spring. Liz and her bridal party were all in the kitchen conservatory having their make-up done when I arrived as spirits were high and you could feel the buzz in the air for a good wedding day ahead.
It wasn't long until The Flower Emporium arrived with a beautiful selection of colourful bouquets for our Brides and Bridesmaids to hold and compliment their lovely dresses, and once dressed up it was time for our bridal party to make their way down to the waiting vintage wedding car waiting to take them to St Peters Church.

St Peters Church Delamere Wedding

Liz looked absolutely stunning in her Mark Lesley dress from Cheshire Bridal Wear. Seeing her walking up the path with her bridesmaids and also down the aisle at St Peters Church was a joy to photograph. I always look out for the real emotion of the day and the first look and smile Liz gave to David stood at the top of the aisle was a shot I had to capture for them. David looked the absolute part in his blue Kenneth Cole suit. The wedding ceremony itself was very intimate and personal, with our bride and groom at the top of the aisle we were able to capture some beautiful moments from both the front and back of the church. Moments such as the reading of vows and exchanging of wedding rings were all documented from two perspectives giving full coverage of the service. Before you knew it our newlyweds were sharing their first kiss on the alter before turning to face the congratulating wedding party to the walk down the aisle together as husband and wife for the ceremony's recessional.

A&M Marquees supplied the reception for the wedding day with a full sized tent providing shelter for the afternoon. Fortunately the only shelter that was needed was as a sunshade as we were blessed with some gorgeous blue skies and no sign of rain. At one point we were also treated to a very moody dark rain cloud skyline which set up our bride and groom nicely for a couple of phenomenal portraits but other than that we were very lucky with the weather, no need for umbrellas today!
We had a couple of group shots by the marquee's canopy in the backdrop before moving into the field with our newly wedded couple for a couple of portraits - one in particular of David jumping over Liz on the cricket field which I'm sure is a photograph that will be blown up on canvas!

Mereside Brass band were also on hand to provide us with a brass band soundtrack for the afternoon. All dressed in purple blazers, guests listened to a full set list of band tunes whilst enjoying some delicious Beech Tree Catering canapés and champagne down by the tent.

We then headed back to the pavilion for the wedding breakfast and speeches which were phenomenal. We had a 'make your own cocktail' hour for our guests to host their tables with some very bespoke cocktails! It was then time for the cutting of cake and first dance which went down a treat. Liz and David had plans for some confetti canons to fire during the dance which I lit up with my flashes and shot quickly with my wide angle lens with a wide open aperture. It was great to capture the bride and groom so relaxed and natural together and it truly shows in the resultant photographs.

I thoroughly enjoyed photographing my first Marquee Wedding and feel I captured some great moments throughout the day. I really can not wait for my next marquee wedding.
